Edgerton Decoy Show Location: Tri-county Community Center, Edgerton, Wisconsin Everyone is glad to hear Tom Neal will continue the show his father, Jim ran for years before his untimely death. This one-day show is within easy driving distance from Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison. Always held the second Saturday in February. Starting time is 8:00am and the show ends at 4:00pm. Wisconsin Decoy Collector's: Mid-Winter Gathering Location: Hilton Garden Inn in Oshkosh, Wisconsin This show started in a small tarvern in Fond du Lac, soon grew this location and for year was held at the Pioneer Inn on Lake Winnebago. Then this grand ole resort Inn was closed and the decoy show moved to the Hilton Garden Inn right off Interstate 43. This show has retained the friendly atmosphere of the old decoy shows include a great hospitality suite where collectors can gather over drinks and super food during the evening prior to the show. East Coast Decoy Collectors (ECDC) Location: Best Western, St Michael's, MD Decoy collectors that include members from the Long Island, New Jersey, Potomac and Carolina collectors' associations will meet for a buy-sell-swap weekend, rain or shine, April 3rd & 4th, 2009 at the Best Western (410-745-3333) in St. Michael's, MD. This weekend includes motel rooms full of old decoys, all for buy-sell-swap, as well as a cookout Saturday evening. The public is welcome and free decoy appraisals are provided. Many take this opportunity to preview decoys at the nearby Guyette & Schmidt headquarters facility for their forthcoming spring decoy auction at Pheasant Run. Motel accommodations as well as ECDC membership ($15 dues) is required to display decoys for sale or swap. The show opens to the general public 9 am- 4 pm: Admission $3 This is a yearly gathering of long-time friends, collectors, colleagues, and guests includes representatives from every state along the west coast and even includes travelers from Canada. Fine examples of local Washington and western carvers past and present, duck calls, shell boxes, prints, etc. will fill the approximately 50 table.
