Minnesota Decoy Collectors Show 
February 1 & 2, 2013

This show kicks off the decoy show season and is sponsored by the Minnesota Decoy Collectors Association, features room-to-room trading beginning on Thursday night. The show, consisting of over 100 tables and held in upper level banquet room, opens for members on Friday afternoon, and reopens for the public on Saturday morning. The show also features contests for "Best Birds" in categories such as antique factory, antique carved, decorative and modern working decoys. An auction be held Friday evening. The MDCA board goes out of its way to make the collectors feel welcome and create an atmosphere of 'good ole fashion Midwest hospitality' with home-cooked treats in hospitality suite after Friday night's show. Collectors gather here for R&R and share decoy tales well into the night!

Henry Decoy Show
February 10, 2013

Location: Senachwine High School, Henry, Illinois



This one day event is one of the oldest Midwest decoy shows. Held on the second Sunday in February, this show has grown to a sizable event with the high school gymnasium packed full of display tables, collectors, local area residents and great decoys. The scenic drive to Henry, located in the heart of the old Illinois River duck hunting region, makes the whole experience even that much more enjoyable. 
Table registration (prepaid $30)is now available. Breakfast will be available and set-up starts at 5:30 a.m. for exhibitors and staff only.

Edgerton Decoy Show

February 9, 2013

Location: Tri-county Community Center, Edgerton, Wisconsin

Everyone is glad to hear this show will continue the show that the late Jim Neal ran for years before his untimely death. This one-day show is within easy driving distance from Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison. Always held the second Saturday in February. Starting time is 8:00am and the show ends at 4:00pm. Display tables are set up in the Community Center for trading and sales.

Wisconsin Decoy Collector's: Mid-Winter Gathering

Location: Hilton Garden Inn in Oshkosh, Wisconsin

This show started in a small tavern in Fond du Lac, soon grew this location and for year was held at the Pioneer Inn on Lake Winnebago. Then this grand ole resort Inn was closed and the decoy show moved to the Hilton Garden Inn right off Interstate 43. This show has retained the friendly atmosphere of the old decoy shows include a great hospitality suite where collectors can gather over drinks and super food during the evening prior to the show. Room-to-room trading is encourage Wednesday through Thursday. Exhibitors include old decoy collectors, contemporary wildlife artist and decoy carvers..

The Great Lakes Decoy Association show

The Great Lakes Decoy Association show specializes in room-to-room trading. Collector/dealer rooms welcome visits Thursday and continues throughout the show. There is usually a decoy seminar on some aspect or region of collecting. This years show will feature a new CASH & CARRY auction at 1 PM presented by Guyette & Deeter Inc. G&D will also present a preview of decoys that will be sold at their Spring Sale April 25 & 26 held at the Pheasant Run Resort Mega center, St Charles, IL. There are also several categories of vintage and contemporary working bird judging contests with ribbons awarded to the winners.

East Coast Decoy Collectors (ECDC)

April 12 & 13, 2013

Location: St Michael's Motor Inn, St Michael's, MD

Decoy collectors that include members from the Long Island, New Jersey, Potomac and Carolina collectors' associations will meet for a buy-sell-swap weekend, rain or shine, April 12rd & 13th, 2013 at the Best Western (410-745-3333) in St. Michael's, MD. This weekend includes motel rooms full of old decoys, all for buy-sell-swap, as well as a cookout Saturday evening. The public is welcome and free decoy appraisals are provided. Many take this opportunity to preview decoys at the nearby Guyette & Schmidt headquarters facility for their forthcoming spring decoy auction at Pheasant Run. Motel accommodations as well as ECDC membership ($15 dues) is required to display decoys for sale or swap. Midwest Decoy Collectors Association Convention

Considered by many to be THE national Decoy Convention, drawing collectors from across the USA, Canada and even Europe, the show is held at the spacious Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, Illinois, there will be literally hundreds of rooms open for room-to-room trading beginning as early as Monday and Tuesday nights and the "fever" builds throughout the week. Guyette & Deeter, Inc. will hold their Spring Decoy Auction at Pheasant Run Resort this same week on Thursday and Friday featuring an outstanding selection of investment quality decoys and sporting art. The show, held in the large Mega-Center, features almost 400 tables filled with decoys and other sporting collectibles. The 2013 MDCA Board sponsored exhibit will feature a selection of vintage Pacific Coast Decoys from private collections. The Board also offers free identification and evaluation of items brought in by show goers. Last year an elderly couple brought in an valuable duck call by Beckhart which was consigned to G&D and sold for $103,000 the following July at their Summer sale. The contemporary carvers will also present an exhibit.

Show hours will be from 2:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday and 9:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday.

Northwest Decoy Collectors Show

Illinois Valley Sporting Collecibles Show

David and Jeanette Kneebone of Muddywaters decoys would like to take this opportunity to announce that we are going to take over the Illinois Valley Sporting Collectibles show and in moving forward, our goal is to increase the attendance and the size of the show. We’ve set the date for next years show which will be at Celebrations again. It will be the 2nd Sunday- August 11, 2013. We’ll be frequently updating our website with information, in addition to sending out notifications to all interested parties. The hall is located just off US Rte 80. This is a great spot for a decoy show; large display hall with good lighting, air conditioned, on site concession, lots of parking close to Starved Rock State Park.
